A short biography
Dr. Jeongae Kim joined the Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST) as a postdoctoral researcher in March 2026. She received her B.S. and M.S. in Chemical Engineering from Jeonbuk National University and her Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI). During her doctoral research, she developed molecular dynamics simulations to investigate the self-assembly and tensile deformation of block copolymer materials for rational materials design. Her current research focuses on the design of electrocatalysts through multiscale simulations integrated with machine learning potentials.
