A short biography
Soonsung So joined KIST as a postdoctoral researcher in 2024. He received his B.S. degree from the Department of Polymer Nano Science & Technology, Jeonbuk National University, and his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the School of Materials Science and Engineering, Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (GIST). His research has focused on the thermal transport in semiconducting materials and their interfaces using molecular dynamics (MD) simulation. Now, his research interest is the design of promising Ru-based electrochemical catalysts utilizing Density Functional Theory (DFT) and machine learning-based techniques.
