A short biography
Dong Yun Shin joined KIST as a postdoctoral researcher in September 2023. He received his B.E. degree from Catholic University of Korea, his M.S. degree from University of Seoul, and his Ph.D. degree from Chungbuk National University in the Department of Environmental Engineering. His research interests focus on developing eco-friendly energy sources. In particular, he has conducted researches regarding CO2 conversion into usable fuels and H2 storage and release using density functional theory (DFT). In addition, he would like to improve understanding of various chemical reactions and develop the new materials for environmentally friendly energy sources by using machine learning-based techniques.
