A short biography
Dr. Donghun Kim received his Ph. D. in Materials Science and Engineering in 2015 under the supervision of Prof. Jeff Grossman at MIT. After two years of Post-doc training (under Dr. Sang Soo Han), he joined KIST in 2017 as senior research scientist. His past research mainly focuses on DFT and AI-based solutions for problems in solar cells or catalysis. While at KIST, he is very much interested in establishing large and systematic database and using AI techniques in materials science problems, ultimately aiming to maximize the efficiency of material development process. The most crucial part is to build robotic laboratory for autonomous materials synthesis and analysis.
